Sending 2-Way SMS with NALO SMS Portal
2-way SMS is the surest way to know what your customers think about your brand. It allows you to receive real-time feedback from your customers through the SMS channel.
To send a 2-way SMS, you will need a keyword and a shortcode for that campaign. Kindly note that you may generate some keywords with our AI or follow our guide in selecting a campaign keyword.
A Shortcode may also be assigned and managed by your administrator. The default shortcode for sending 2-way SMS with NALO is 1133.
How to send a two-way SMS
- Visit app.nalosolutions.com
- Log in with your Username and password
- On the dashboard, click SMS >> Bulk SMS
- Upload your contact file or select from your Address group
- Enter your Keyword >> choose your Sender ID and your Shortcode
Remember your shortcode is the number your contacts will reply on.
- After typing your message in the Message Box, the keyword together with the shortcode will be automatically added beneath your message
- Check your preview phone to double confirm your message and hit Send Message to complete
How to reply to a two-way SMS
After receiving a two-way SMS from your brand, you may want to reply to the message. To respond to a 2-way message, follow these steps:
- Open your messaging app
- Find the Sender ID and fetch the keyword and the shortcode to reply to
- Compose a new message by sending the keyword to the shortcode
How to check the responses report for your 2-way SMS campaigns
- Visit app.nalosolutions.com
- Log in with your Username and password
- On the dashboard, click on reports >> SMS report >> Response report
- Enter your Email address, keyword, and date range, and submit
- A complete response report should be sent to the preferred email address
